ALT-TEXT (Association sans but lucratif / Vereniging zonder winstoogmerk) is a Belgian non-profit registered under the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises. We are committed to responsible stewardship of resources and to full transparency with our funders, partners, and the public.
Our Principles
We operate on the basis that financial transparency is inseparable from organisational integrity. As an organisation working on AI literacy, digital rights, and ethical technology, we hold ourselves to the same standards of accountability we advocate for in others.
Legal & Registration Status
ALT-TEXT ASBL is registered with the BCE/KBO under number 1034052266. Our registered address is Avenue de la Porte de Hal 25. Our statutes are publicly available via the Belgian Official Gazette (Moniteur belge / Belgisch Staatsblad).
Current Funding
ALT-TEXT is currently in its founding phase and is financed through founder contributions. We do not yet receive institutional or grant funding. As our funding base develops, this page will be updated to reflect all significant sources of income.
We are committed to disclosing the following on an ongoing basis:
- the names of institutional funders and the programmes under which funding is received
- the approximate proportion of our budget each source represents
- any conditions or restrictions attached to funding that affect our work
Annual Accounts
As a Belgian ASBL, ALT-TEXT is required to maintain accounts in accordance with Belgian non-profit accounting law. Annual accounts will be published on this page following each financial year. Our first financial year closes on 30 June 2026.
